Safeguarding and Child Protection
At St Gregory's Catholic Primary School, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a safe, caring and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, respected and protected.
We believe that every child has the right to grow, learn and thrive in an environment where their wellbeing is a priority. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and we work closely with parents, carers, governors, external agencies and the wider community to ensure that all children are kept safe from harm.
Our staff receive regular safeguarding training and are vigilant in identifying and responding to any concerns regarding a child's welfare. We promote a culture where children feel confident to speak out, seek help and know that they will be listened to.
In line with our Catholic ethos, we are dedicated to ensuring that all children are treated with dignity, compassion and respect. Through our curriculum, pastoral support and daily interactions, we help children to develop the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe, both in school and beyond, including online.
If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child, please contact the school immediately.

Internet Safety at St Gregory's Catholic Primary School
At St Gregory's, the safety and wellbeing of our children is our highest priority. As technology continues to play an increasingly important role in children's lives, we are committed to helping pupils develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to stay safe online.
Through our curriculum, assemblies and regular discussions in school, children are taught how to use technology responsibly, respectfully and safely. We educate pupils about online risks including cyberbullying, inappropriate content, online gaming, social media, scams, privacy settings and the importance of protecting personal information.
However, online safety is most effective when schools and families work together. We encourage parents and carers to take an active interest in their child's online activities, maintain open conversations about internet use and ensure appropriate parental controls are in place on devices used at home.
If your child ever feels worried, upset or unsafe whilst online, please encourage them to speak to a trusted adult immediately.
Together, we can help our children enjoy the many benefits of technology whilst staying safe, happy and responsible digital citizens.
