Today we walked to Yarrow Valley, it was a long walk we think it was over 4 miles long! We are all very tired now! It was muddy and damp but not cold! Mr Darbyshire brought us hot chocolate and biscuits, we had these at the play area. We were looking at were the coal mines and mills used to be. We also saw a weir which was built to make the river flow faster to make the water wheel at the mill go round faster. We had to wear high-visability jackets. It was a great walk and we all got very muddy shoes!!!

Today we walked all the way around Yarrow Valley Park. We saw where the mills and coal mines use to be. After we had our big walk, we played in the play area and we got hot chocolates and biscuits. The walk was very interesting, the park was fun. The best part was when Ciaran thought some foam in the river was a dead dog! I loved the hot chocolates and biscuits too.
