Dear Mrs Molyneux,
I am writing to about Times Table Rockstar, I am sure you know that we had a free trial on Times Table Rockstar and all of Year 6 loved it. But when the trial ended we were all quite disapointed so that is why I am writing to you.

I am sure that you already know that times tables are very important. TTRS is currently helping people that struggle with times tables and they are getting better.  If you subscribe to Times Table Rockstar it will help all classes and Year 6 in our upcoming SATS.

Here are some reasons why we need Times Table Rockstar:
* It help us with tests and SATS.
* helps us get quicker with our times tables.
* it is fun and can challenge our friends and team mates with times tables.

Times Table Rockstar has very successfully boosted times tables for hundreds of thousands of pupils over the last 7 years in over 4500 schools worldwide. Here is what one of the parents said from a school that their child goes to “received a postcard from school to say daughter is a Times Table Rock Star. Got all her tables correct, Happy day.”


So please Mrs Molyneux. Please carry on with Times Table Rockstar because we all love it.

Dear Mrs Molyneux,

I am writing to you because I desperately want to keep time table rock stars. The reason I want to keep it is it is better to be going on mathletics all the time. Also when we are all at home we can login to it.

Furthermore, it can help all classes. So when Year 6 are doing their S.A.T.S boosters it can really help us do well in our SATs. And it can really help Year 4 because there are doing a time table test soon.

TTRS can also test you on speed and even better it includes division. I know it is a lot of money but it can really help because the teacher does not have to set it and the child can do what time tables they need to work on. I love this app. It can help a lot so  please please keep time table rock stars I love it.

I am contacting you on behalf of Year Six, concerning the app, “Times Tables Rock Stars.” After our brief trial with this program, which we loved, I strongly believe that we should continue with it.
One of the reasons I think we should keep this app is the fact that when in Year Four, the pupils will be taking a times tables test, so this program will prepare them for that test. Secondly, since times tables are a crucial part of maths, “Times Tables Rock Stars” will give children a better chance of passing any kind of test. Also, when practicing their times tables on this app, children can compete against people in their class. In addition to this, in the past seven years, over four thousand five hundred schools have had great success with this app. Finally, every comment on “Times Tables Rock Stars” is a positive one.
Furthermore, I hope you take my opinions into consideration when deciding whether to continue with “Times Tables Rock Stars”.

As I am sure you already know, the trial for Times Tables Rockstars has now ended. I am writing on behalf of Year 6 to bring to your attention the positive impact that the app has had on our maths test results and convince you to renew it.

Here are some of the ways that it would benefit the school:
– It would give Year 4 confidence as they have their times tables test in the upcoming months.
– It would provide support for the children in Year 2 as they prepare for their KS1 SATs.
– it would give Year 6 something educational and fun to do after they have completed their Mathletics on a Tuesday afternoon and requires very little preparation from Mrs Beesley.

The maths test results in Year 6 have been improving test by test and I am convinced that this is partially because of Times Tables Rockstars. I am aware that you may consider this app expensive. However, can you really put a price on better test results and much improved life skills?
I hope that you will consider my points and renew Times Tables Rockstars.

Wow! What a persuasive set of letters Year 6! I love how some of you have researched the topic and included figures from the TTRS website. I especially like the quotes some of you have used from parents. I agree that times tables are very important and yes, TTRS will help the pupils further down the school with the times tables test they will have to sit in the future. Most importantly, I am so impressed with how passionate you all are about Maths, I hope this passion continues in the future!
In response to your letters – I will speak to Mr Darbyshire and make sure that he has given me a Maths budget that is large enough to include a subscription to TTRS. Thank you so much for trialling it for me, it clearly had a big impact on you all and I’m glad you enjoyed using it!
