year 4 Language and Culture Festival

 

What a fabulous week we had during our Language and Culture Festival! We spent the whole week learning about different languages and cultures around the world. Here are some of the activities we took part in:

  • Italian Cafe
  • French Cafe
  • Italian and French culture/language lessons
  • Portuguese language and culture lessons
  • Polish music and culture lessons
  • Petanque ( a French game)

In addition to all this, we studied New Zealand and Maori culture. We learnt the Haka, designed our own Maori masks and acted out some Maori folk tales. 

We had a fabulous week and learnt so much about our world!
