Year 4 have had a fantastic day at the World Museum, Liverpool! We learnt lots about everyday life in Ancient Egypt and what the Ancient Egyptians believed about life after death on our trails around the Egypt gallery. We were also lucky to take part in a session led by the museum during which we got to handle objects from Ancient Egypt, there was even a mummified cat! Take a look at our photos and feel free to comment below - what was your favourite part of the day? Can you tell us anything that you learnt today?

My favourite part of the day was when we got a chance to look at the real Egyptian objects. We had to wear white gloves to stop the sweat in our fingers from damaging the artefacts. I learned that Egyptians used to write on papyrus paper that is made out of water reed.
